Our District recently held a Back to School Bash for all 900+ employees. As with any "required" activity, there were some who were less than enthusiastic about attending, but once they were in the door and they realized that the day was all about THEM and HAVING FUN the tone suddenly changed. Together, we celebrated the family that we are and laughed together. It gave everyone an opportunity to meet new faces and greet familiar ones. It was a wonderful event that reminded everyone that, even in tough times, we are a family and we are here for one another - working toward a common goal. And that made me so proud to work in education. Thanks to all of the staff of Independent School District 181 (Brainerd, Minnesota) for all they do for learners of ALL ages! I am proud to be a part of such a successful organization!
